I love spending time in my journal. In reflection, I have found that going into journaling with intention and dedicated time allows for deeper introspection. My ritual is to take several minutes tuning into my breath, I allow myself the space to allow for anything to flow through me without judgment, and I do my best to be vulnerable in the pages of my notebook.
Below are some prompts that I hope will allow you to explore what it means to find forgiveness with ourselves, and show up to our being with a little more love and compassion than before.
This a friendly reminder to be extra loving and compassionate to yourself when you are reflecting.
What moments in your life do you ruminate about that pop into your mind from time to time? Write them out big or small.
What INNER DIALOGUE do you have about those situations?
Write about what you think keeps you from moving on from those feelings and thoughts.
Go through and see how you can forgive yourself in each of those situations. Write out an apology to yourself. We ask others for our forgiveness, so why can’t we do that for ourselves?
Perhaps you have “moved on” but take some time to try to embody the forgiveness you are giving yourself.
