a love letter to my friends

my whole life I have been searching for love.
"the one" who I will spend my life with, 
but all along you were all there. 

i get to spend my life with all of you. 
you have shown me what love truly means. 
the love expansive and never withhlolding.

when my soul was drowning on the bathroom floor
unable to move from the heaviness of my heart, 
your love helped me back up. 

you watched as i shed the tears, 
the pain, 
the joy. 
you listened to the unhinged moments of uncertainty.  
you stood there patiently
while you held my heart. 

all of you have always been there. 
there is no more searching,
you always have been "the ones."
you all are the living, breathing examples of the
truest expression of love. 
how lucky am i to be able to journey through life with all of you.
